Toteme, a Favorite Brand of Fashion Insiders, Arrives in New York’s SoHo

Swedish fashion brand Toteme has opened its first store in the US. Founders Elin Kling and Karl Lindman were living in New York when they launched the brand in 2014, but decided to move back to Sweden. Located on Mercer Street in SoHo, the store will carry the brand’s minimalistic clothing as well as objects by Swedish design firm Svenskt Tenn. Toteme collaborated with architecture studio Halleroed, who have also worked with Acne Studios and Byredo. Kling and Lindman also shared with WSJ that the brand will be launching a new line of bags this fall. We can’t wait.

Dagmar Has Become a Go-To London Address for Mid-Century Scandi Design

London-based Dagmar Design was founded in 2014 by furniture collector and restorer Aaron FitzGerald. With a focus on modern Scandinavian design, the gallery carries pieces from designers including Ole Wanscher, Hans Wegner and Kai Kristiansen. With their in-house workshop, the gallery doesn’t only sell restored vintage classics, but also recently launched a line of pieces under license including the iconic Clam chair by Arnold Madsen.
