More and more women are using apps to track their periods – but not only to monitor their cycles. A growing group of women are using it as a blueprint to schedule their lives, adapting their schedule according to where they are in their cycle. With a modern healthcare system that still often excludes women in trials and often disregards women’s symptoms or issues, many are taking matters into their own hands. While there’s little to no scientific evidence to support the benefits of syncing your schedule to your cycle, it has become an inescapable TikTok and Instagram trend. A great profile on American actor, author, singer, businesswoman, and health spokesperson Suzanne Somers by writer Rhonda Garelick. While she was mostly known for her television roles as Chrissy Snow on Three’s Company and Carol Foster Lambert on Step by Step, Somers was much more than a TV star. During her lifetime she wrote numerous books and was a champion of health and wellness. Garelick shares a look inside the dynamic life of Somers.

This year’s edition of Frieze Masters celebrated women. In partnership with French nonprofit AWARE, the London edition of the art fair created a section called “Modern Women”. The section featured 10 booths dedicated to a female artist working between 1880 and 1980, including Emilie Charmy, Vera Molnár, and Faith Ringgold. With the aim to view the history of art through a more egalitarian and feminist lens, the partnership aims to reframe how we look at art now.
