LUNA BIJL

The model shares her favorites in travel, beauty and homeware

Luna Bijl is a force to be reckoned with. At 26, she’s already amassed nearly a decade of experience in one of the most competitive industries. It all started in 2019, when she closed Karl Lagerfeld’s final Chanel show as his last muse. Since then, she’s been a constant fixture at the top. As one of the industry’s most in-demand faces, Bijl has appeared on the covers of countless magazines, walked the runways of Marc Jacobs, Giorgio Armani, Chanel and Chloé and worked with more than a few iconic photographers—from David Sims and Cass Bird to Mario Sorrenti. Through it all, Bijl brings something uniquely hers—cool, confident, and quietly captivating.

FOR THOSE WHO TREAT REST AS RITUAL

Sleep is an art, and Dore & Rose have perfected its tools. The Aura Sleep Mask is a considered study in form and function—crafted from 23 momme mulberry silk, it is light, breathable, and naturally cooling. Designed with ample space to protect the lashes, it blocks out all light, encouraging deeper rest while reducing fine lines and under-eye puffiness. A discreet antibacterial silver ion treatment keeps skin clear, while the adjustable fit ensures comfort through the night. Thoughtfully designed in Amsterdam, responsibly made, and free from additives, it is a quiet luxury—one that transforms sleep into something altogether more refined.

“The sleeping mask from Dore and Rose is a LIFESAVER when I’m travelling. I wear it on long haul flights but also when I sleep in hotels. They’re made from silk so they’re sensitive skin friendly.”

“This is a clothing store in the centre of Rotterdam. They have a great selection of designer items and their service is ALWAYS fantastic. The team at ANSH46 are very passionate about fashion and know everything about the latest trends. They sell brands like Acne, Rick Owens and The Attico. Their styling is quite edgy and authentic, which I personally think is really cool and gets me out of my comfort zone.”

A STORE FOR MORE THAN JUST SHOPPING

ANSH46 offers a carefully curated selection of fashion—from Jil Sander and Loewe to Rick Owens and Jacquemus—but its focus goes beyond just clothes. Each piece is chosen for its craftsmanship and narrative, allowing the store to tell the stories behind each design. Through that philosophy, ANSH46 has become more than a space for shopping—it’s a place for dialogue. Fashion here is approached as a conversation, one that bridges cultures, ideas, and identities. Clothing isn’t simply something to buy; it’s something to engage with, to understand, and to connect to. The store is rooted in Rotterdam but carries a global perspective, blending the old with the new, the established with the emerging. It’s about trust, curiosity, and the belief that fashion should be explored, not just worn.

IN SICILY, A QUIET SEASIDE SANCTUARY

Tonnara di Scopello offers a rare chance to experience a place where history and nature are intertwined. Set against rugged rocks and crystal-clear waters, this former tuna processing factory-turned-retreat is a quiet escape. The rooms, each with its own character, are simple yet full of Sicilian tradition, offering a peaceful, almost monastic atmosphere. Step outside, and the view is breathtaking—the blue of the sea and sky, with the iconic Scopello stacks as the only distraction. The Tonnara is not about luxury in the conventional sense, but rather an immersive, unpretentious beauty that invites you to disconnect from the fast-paced world. Time here feels slower, simpler, allowing you to appreciate the beauty of the sea and the island in a way that feels real, not staged.

“I had a photoshoot here once and was amazed by the BEAUTY of this hotel. It’s been on my bucket list to visit again and I will probably go there this summer. It has this special old Italian vibe and it doesn’t feel like you're in a hotel at all. It has its own private beach and the location is insane. It feels like you’re living in a movie back in time.”

“I LOVE these candles. They not only smell great and last long, but also have very cute designs which can make your home look very chic and cozy.”

TIMELESS SCENTS, EXPERTLY CRAFTED

Diptyque has long been synonymous with exceptional candles, becoming one of the most well-known brands of our time. What began in 1963 as a collaboration between three artists in Paris quickly grew into a masterclass in scent-making. With a commitment to creativity and craftsmanship, Diptyque has built a reputation by refining a process that’s as meticulous as it is inventive. Each candle is the result of months of development, combining carefully sourced ingredients and time-honed techniques—right down to the precise height of the wick. Over the years, Diptyque has created a signature collection of scents inspired by nature’s richest elements, from Menthe Verte to Cannelle, there’s something for everyone.

THROWING PUNCHES WITH SUPERMODELS AND CEOS

Gotham Gym, nestled in the West Village, is where intensity and focus meet. Known for its no-frills approach, this boxing gym attracts those who are serious about pushing themselves—whether they’re models, professionals, or athletes. The classes, dynamic and intense, are designed to challenge your limits, combining bodyweight exercises, cardio intervals, and the art of sparring. But it's not just about the physicality. Gotham is an environment where each session is an opportunity to push past mental boundaries, supported by trainers who are experts in their craft. The emphasis is on quality—quality instruction, quality technique, and a no-nonsense approach to fitness.

“I’ve been boxing since I was a teenager and it has always played a big part in my LIFE. Now that I model, I use boxing as a workout to keep me fit. Whenever I’m in New York City for work, I visit my friends at Gotham gym. They do a mixed workout with boxing, strength and cardio. The owner, Rob, is always in a good mood. He’s a real connector, which is so nice because you meet a lot of interesting people in the city. It’s located in my favourite area and my old neighbourhood, the West Village in Manhattan.
